Sean French and Colin Arnold the Dallas duo behind, Eyes, Wings & Many Other Things met through mutual friends at a time when they were both pursuing other projects. They discovered a shared taste of peculiar off-beat music, with Sean favoring droney-psychedelic and ambient sounds while Colin was drawn to a grittier fare of the same nature, as well as old blues and Doo-wop. Their eclectic taste in music shines through in their debut LP, Napalm Beach.
Colin Arnold (eyes, wings and many other things, Pegusus Now, Master Charge) recorded all songs for the Whipcream Brunette EP from 2000 to 2001.
Vena Cava was the beginnings of a Fort Worth music ensemble that developed into The Theater Fire. This EP features Don Feagin (The Theater Fire), Curtis Heath (The Theater Fire), Jesse Brakefield (The Theater Fire and eyes, wings and many other things), Mark Castaneda (formerly of the Theater Fire) and John Glander.
Greys recorded from 1997 through 1998 and consisted of Sean French (eyes, wings and many other things, The Theater Fire and Water Falls), John Frum (The Pungent Sound, Transient Songs) and Ray Liberio (The Pungent Sound, The Me-Thinks).
Maleveller is Luke Harnden, TJ Prendergast, Brian Smith and Jeff Biehler (pictured from left to right in photo taken by Branton Ellerbee).
Myopic is the solo project from instrumentalist Jeff Ryan (Sarah Jaffe, St. Vincent, The New Year, Pleasant Grove, Crushed Stars) who recorded and co-produced the record with engineer Stuart Sikes (Cat Power, Modest Mouse, Califone).
